Shirdi Tour of 3 Days

Shri Sai Baba Sansthan Temple:

The Sansthan Temple is one of the most famous and significant of shrines in India. Dedicated to Sai Baba, Devotees can avail all facilities of a holy place from darshan lines, donation counters, prasad lines, railway booking counters to dining halls.

With a startling amount of choices available on amusement rides, from Ferris wheel to Columbus, they also have a few eccentric ones like the Jumping Frogs, Thrillarium, and the Alien Planet. And there is the whole Waterworld with Adult slides, wave pool, and Rain Dance. If you do not like the witty and icky feeling of all the water in this park, you could relax with your friends and family in the indoor section and play a game or two of chess, pool table tennis or carrom.

Gurusthan:

Gurusthan means “place of the Guru”. It is a couple location Baba spent better of his time when he first came to Shirdi, and also where, according to Baba, the tomb of his own Guru is placed by the neem tree. Gurusthan is, therefore, one of the most important places in Shirdi. From beneath the NEEM tree, there is a buried tunnel or passage leading to the place of Dwarkamai as told by old women.

Gurusthan is the place where Sai Baba first displayed to the world as a 16-year-old boy. The place is situated under a Neem tree. It again has a holy place on which Sai baba's portrait is situated with a Shivalingam and the Nandi bull right in ahead of it.

Gurusthan means- the seat of the teacher. Devotees truly believe that lighting incense sticks at this place will cure them of all ailments. This place is located in Kopargaon which is around 14 km from the main town of Shirdi.

Shani Shingnapur:

The spectacular and unique Shani Shignapur Temple of Ahmednagar district is well-known for the magical and powerful Lord Shani, who is believed to reside in a black stone till date. The Hindu God symbolising the planet Saturn is referred to as Swayambhu, which means that he has emerged himself in the form of the black stone. It has absolutely no architectural beauty, and just the simple stone with the spiritual aura of the lord entices scores of devotees every year.

The trust of people in the lord is so strong that none of the houses in the wondrous village has doors and locks. People believe that Lord Shani is protecting their valuables from thieves. One is only amazed to see the level of devotion and love for the god that people have. On some of the holiest days like Saturdays, Amavasya and Shri Shaneshchar Jayanti, the enthusiasm and vehemence rise to a next level.

Samadhi Mandir:

Baba has agreed, “I shall be alive and potent even from the burial,” and it is perhaps in the Mandir that we can most fully action the phenomenon of Sai Baba and the remarkable way he has touched the hearts and lives of millions of people from all over the globe. Baba’s almighty existence is felt when one has Baba’s glance, when one sits at Baba’s feet .

At any given point, the shrine temple is full of devotees eagerly queuing up to have Baba’s darshan. People carry flowers, garlands, sweets, or fruit to offer Baba at his Samadhi. Some may have personal items- such as a shawl, book, key to new possession, etc, for which they want to get Baba’s blessing by offering it at his feet and having it touch his tomb.

“Sri Satchidananda Sadguru Sainath Maharaj ki Jai !” (Hail the great Sadguru, Lord Sai, who is being-consciousness-bliss!) is the chant on the lips of most of His devotees while most others may sing bhajan or whisper prayers.

City Shopping:

One of the essential crusade heart of the country, Shirdi is affected by millenary of devotees about daily. A faithful worshipper will also be the happiest shopper as Shirdi has markets with the largest collection of Sai Baba effigies and pictures. Rows of shops line up the streets that lead to the temple serving as great places to also shop for gifts. Starting from marble and fiber statues, one can find laminated portraits, key rings, rosaries, garlands made with fresh flowers and with plastic/cloth flowers, all kinds of dry fruits, etc.

Apart from the statues, devotees can also shop from an extensive collection of religious books about the life of Sai Baba and his philosophies. Available in English and other vernacular languages, these books can be sanctified by following a ritual too. In the garment shopping department, Shirdi is unlike other cities. Being a religious site, it has many shops selling shawls to be used as offering in Baba's Temple or even as headband during meditation.

Dwarkamai:

Dwarkamai is one of the capitals of Shirdi for the devotees. The style of patience, admission, and welcome is very much alive here. On entering the mosque you will be struck by its powerful atmosphere. One thing to observe here is the great diversity of devotional expression. Some community is seen stoop before Sai Baba's picture of making offerings, others as praying before the dhuni, some doing Japa or reading from sacred texts, and others sitting in contemplation.

Dwarkamai is a simple, unadorned structure, locally called as the home of 'God on earth.' Sai Baba's devotees wanted to refurbish the mosque, but he resisted as according to him it was not necessary. Baba has said that merely going inside the mosque will confer blessings, and the devotees have confirmed this from their experiences. Sai Baba respected all religions, and everyone had free access to the mosque. Sai Baba regarded a place of worship "the mosque" as a mother.

Lendi Baug:

At some area from Gurusthan, there is the Lendi Baug. Lendi Baug was made and bathed daily by Baba himself. It got its name from a Nalla (a drain) which used to already flow there. Baba converts to come here each and every morning and afternoon and cleft beneath a Neem tree.Sai Baba dug a pit, 2 feet deep, under the Neem forest and kept a Deep(earthen lamp) lit in that crater. One octangular Deepgriha called Nanda Deep has been built in marble stone in memory of this place. It constantly burns in a glass box. On one incidental of the Deepgriha is a Peepal tree and on the other side is a Neem tree. Some distance away is a Datta Mandir below an Audumbar tree. In the Mandir, there is a statue of Datta built of marble stone. The bronze of Datta was installed on 6th December 1976. aloof trailing the Datta Mandir is a Samadhi of the horse, Shyamsundar which become Baba and which worn to bow to him. Lendi Baug also has a well which was dug by Baba and his devotees.

By the access of the bang be the Samadhi's of ardent Sai addict Tatya Kote Patil, Bhau Maharaj Kumbhar, Nanavalli and Abdul Baba.

Jangli Maharaj Ashram:

Jangli Maharaj Ashram is situated on Shirdi-Manmad State Highway, seven kilometers away from Shirdi. This ashram is managed and maintained by spiritual guru Om Gurudev. There is a co-educational residential school for children, inside the premises of the main ashram.

Various meditation classes, along with religious and educational feats are regularly conducted for peace of mind, body and soul in the ashram. A religious program named 'Anugraha' is organised in the ashram every Poornima. Throughout the night, in the presence of Sadguru Janglidas Maharaj, the holy meeting goes on.

Any graham' a religious program is conducted every Poornima that goes on throughout the night in the presence of Sadguru Janglidas Maharaj.

Chavadi:

For all that allegedly and correctly Baba used to go to the Chavadi. In his superconscious state, he was never asleep and used to tell his devotees that in his everlasting awareness (consciousness) he will always protect his devotees who were asleep at night.

Chavadi factor“central office”, and was the area where duty was poised, center records kept and calling officials put up. After Baba’s mahasamadhi the Sansthan acquired Chavadi, and until the late 1930s used it for storing books and accommodating pilgrims. The center's  jobs have largely been advance and Chavadi is kept as a shrine to Baba and is open to all.

Sai Baba is intimately connected with this place, as he used to sleep here on alternate nights, during the last decade of his life. The normal was initiated on one wild and torrid night, around 1909. It was raining heavily, and water was coming through the leaky walls of the mosque.

Thursday Palki procession:

During the days when Sainath lived alternate nights in Chavadi, he was taken there in a palki procession from Dwarkamai masjid. The same procession that took place then is also carried out even today on every Thursday with the same excitement and veneration.

In the daylight, although Shri Sai Baba be actually breathing in Dwarkamai Masjid, he worn to coma in Chawri on all backup night, amid the age 1910 to 1918.
